The famous Tre Cime di Lavaredo (three peaks) are representative of the entire Dolomites. The magnificent mountain chain, with its unique shape, has always been a very well-known natural wonder that attracts hikers and climbers from all over the world every year.
The best-known viewpoints are those visible from Val di Landro, where you can see the side profile of the three peaks, or from the Auronzo chalet and the Antonio Locatelli chalet. But the best view is from Mount Piana: from the top of Torre di Toblin and Mount Paterno.
The area around the three peaks offers mountain lovers many medium-difficult hikes. One of the most popular itineraries is the path across lake Misurina that leads to the Auronzo chalet, at 2.320 meters above sea level.
