The real treasure of Cadore lies in the chalets, pearls nestled in the Dolomites rock that you can reach by panoramic trails. We recommend the itinerary that leads to the Tita Barba chalet, which can be covered with snowshoes in winter and by walking along the paths that start from Pieve and Domegge during the summer. It is worth it even if only to admire the view over the Centro Cadore lake.

The Chiggiato chalet is also a natural terrace overlooking Marmole, Antelao and the lake. The starting point is “bar Pineta”, not far from the village of Calalzo. In summer then, the hike to Malga Ciauta is absolutely not to be missed to enjoy the sight of the surrounding peaks. The malga is also a holiday farm, where it is possible to taste cheeses and salami and buy typical products.

And, further, the Ciareido chalet in Lozzo, the Costapiana chalet in Pieve di Cadore on the slopes of Mount Antelao, the incredible former Romiti hermitage in Domegge, restored and used as a chalet, and the Cercenà chalet. These are our favorites, but in the Cadore area there a lot of them! We will be pleased to provide information on the main excursions, in the meantime you can take a look at the official website of the Dolomites which lists all the Cadore chalets and the paths to reach them.
